Pyrex Glass PRODUCT CARE
The following information will help you get the most out
of your NaughtyGlass Pyrex Adult Toy purchase.
Pyrex glass is a borosilicate glass (hard glass) produced
by the Corning Company (Corning, NY 14830) years ago. Most
people are familiar with Pyrex as many products made of it
are used in kitchens, medical facilities and chemical labs
everyday. CorningWare cookware for example, and the medical
and chemistry fields use glass beakers, test tubes and slides
etc. It is a highly durable, non-porous, 100% lead-free glass
completely safe to use, and unlike typical glass (soft glass)
is virtually indestructible and has excellent heating and
insulating properties. Pyrex glass is able to be warmed and
will remain warm for long periods of time. It is the best
and safest product available in the world to make glass adult
toys with. Do not think of using a glass toy that is not made
of Pyrex. Although it is extremely durable and has a high-impact
tolerance, IT IS NOT INVINCIBLE. As with any adult
toy or piece of art you must take care of it and ensure you
use it as intended. If you do, it will last you virtually
forever and provide you with years of enjoyment.
DURABILITY: You have probably seen a Pyrex baking
dish fall on the floor or slide off the draining board into
the sink or slammed around the kitchen while cooking or doing
the dishes and not break. Maybe you have seen one break…..the
one your Mom had been cooking lasagna in for the last 20 years.
You have probably seen a glass beaker break in Chemistry or
Biology class. Pyrex is shock resistant and is tough, but
it can be broken. To give you some perspective, those beakers
and lasagna dish were made of Pyrex, but ¼” thick or less.
They are susceptible to being broken if enough force is given.
Everything has its breaking point. Our products are made from
½” up to 1 ½” thick solid Pyrex rod. This difference in thickness
makes the Pyrex much stronger. You can take one of our 1”
thick toys and slam it against a solid marble table top or
drop it to a concrete floor and it will not phase it. It is
strong. You could probably drive your Ford F350 truck over
it and you might only cause an internal stress fracture. Point
being made, we do not recommend you do these things but, be
assured that our solid Pyrex adult toys will not break if
used and cared for properly.
“WARNING” - DO NOT FREEZE YOUR PYREX GLASS TOY.
Pyrex glass is NOT intended to be frozen. Going from
freezing cold temperature to room temperature, normal body
heat or greater may “shock” the glass causing it to fracture.
So, DO NOT FREEZE. Other “not-as-informed” glass toy
companies would lead you to believe otherwise, but you can
cool Pyrex more safely than the freezer. Pyrex, by design,
is best suited for heating.
COOLING: If you want to cool your new toy for an exhilarating
experience we suggest you place your toy in the refrigerator
or in a cool sink of ice water for 20 to 30 minutes.
WARMING: To warm your toy fill a sink with the desired
temperature of warm water and soaking your toy for 20 to 30
minutes, giving the heat time to soak all the way into the
center. Your toy will stay warm for a longer period of time.
Have caution when heating and be sure to not over heat as
it may cause burns to sensitive skin. Test before using on
any sensitive body parts or cavities.
CLEANING: Prior to and after using your new toy, you
should clean it with warm water and mild disinfecting detergent
soap over the entire surface. Isopropyl alcohol is an excellent
disinfectant. Be sure to rinse thoroughly with warm water
to ensure all residues are removed before using again. Although
your new toy is dishwasher safe, we DO NOT recommend
you place an unsanitary item with body fluids on it with your
everyday dishes and eating utensils.
LUBRICATION: You may use any of your favorite lubrications
on your new toy. You will find that because of the non-porous
ultra-smooth finish of your toy your lubrication will not
become sticky or gummy and will last longer and give you new
sensations. Pyrex being non-porous it will not absorb odors
or germs making it one of the best and safest items on the
market today.
STORING: With proper care your new toy will last virtually
forever. Care should be taken to keep your item scratch free
and clean. Treat it with the respect that any high quality
item or work of art should be. Regularly inspect your item
for visible damage, especially if you should drop it and definitely
prior to using.
